How cool is cold !

The weather for the weekend is going to be very cold. We'll see temperatures as low as -15℃ in some places, and there will be a lot of wind and snow. Driving will be dangerous because of ice on the roads. So wear wear warm clothes and drive carefully.

In this book, how cold-weather affect our lives and animals. I didn't know until reading this book that shivering helps us keep warm by making hearts. I understood that's why we shiver when we feel cold.
According to this book, there are two kinds of animals: warm-blooded and cold-blooded. Cold-blooded animals, for example, are lizards and snakes. They don't need to use the food to heat their bodies.

SUPERBIRD

Good morning. Welcome to Radio News Today. Twenty years ago today Superbird crashed into a hill in the middle of a desert. Well, we all know that, don't we? We all read yhe news in the Daily  Star that said five people died: Ford, Stone,Sands, Bridges and Mount.

This story goes with radio style, I read this kind of style for the first time. A space craft crashed onto the earth accidentally and  aliens ware rescued by human. People taught their languages  to aliens so that they can communicate with them. I thought this is interesting. At the end of this story, aliens came to thier planet after fixed ther space craft.

Turtles

Turtles are among the oldest animal species still alive. They are differently the oldest reptile. Turtles are symbols and significance.  It is an ancient creature  which is cousin to the dinosaurs that once walked our earth.

By reading this book I knew more about turtles, for examle, it is a cousin to the dinosaurs, the largest turtle on earth can weigh 227 kilograms and live for more than 150 yaers!

A famous fable that most people know of tortoise and the hare shows the inportance of patience and endurance. Applying to life, concentrate on the job in front of you, avoid being careless and over-confident, and tou will hane success.

I usually read novels, but reading this kind of books also interesting for me.

Different WORLDS

Before I was born, my mum played music with four friends. There's a photograph of them in our living room. Evie, Grace, Angela, Kate and my mum. They were the Sweet Pepper Band, and they played South American music. Mum played guitar.

The main character of this story is Sam. She was born deaf, so when she was a little girl, she liked to put her small hand on the front of Mum's guitar while she played it.
-I imaged this situation and felt a little sad, because she can't listen to her mother's real music sound.
She falled in love with Jim: working at a shop across the road from her house. He is really kind man so he don't care about her deaf.

The main character's name is Anna. when she was trying to creat a new perfume, she put a bite of fruite cake in the material, because she was eating it then. I thought what she did was really strange, but they worked!
When she was wearing rhis perfume, she attracted guys.
The end of this story, she could get married because of this perfume. I want to know the scent of that perfume.🌼
This book has several stories, The Fruitecake Special is my favorite one!

Tales of the Supernatural / Irish Rose

    "You were great, Mary!"

"When is your next film, Miss Flynn?
" You must be thinking about an Oscar now, Mary!

I read a book thathas some short stories. Irish Rose is one of the stories. This story is about a film star who is very beautiful woman. One day she joined a party, and there, she danced a lot with strangers. She danced danced and danced! After that she found out the time  had passed 100 years! She got very old woman.

I don't know why she

How I Met Myself

Every night from then on I had the dream in all its possible forms - the opening door, the running man, the loud noise who was looking for something.(p.54)

The reason why I read this book is the title"How I Met Myself". I could't image the contant of this book, so I took this.
This is the story of a man .His name is John Taylor, he works at a multinational company. One icy winter's evening , he saw a man, but he was not just a man, the man was John!  They had a same face completely...After this incident, John dreamed about this incident every night! He tried to research what that mean...

I felt very interesting about this. If I met myself somewhere I would ask many questions to her!  In short, the man was "doppelgenger" so I think this is kind of horror, I think. If you don't like horror, you can read it, I think .

This is a story about a woman and a man. They loved each other, but they have to depart from each other because of the man's brother' death. It was an accident and it was a sad incident.
After that they can't see for 50 years! It was too long! However they met again accidentally. And they got married.I can't imagine how lonely they  were during the  50 years.
If you like a kind of love story, I recommend to read this book.

GET SMART

What type of personality do you have? Are you shy or out going, cheerful or sad?

Many psychologists DIVIDE human personality into five general personality types.

  • Extrovert
  • Neuritic
  • Agreeable
  • Conscientious
  • Open

I was surprised to know that Many people think that as we get older, our brain cells die

away, making us less intelligent.

Fortunately , adults can grow new neurons by learning new things, doing exercise, and

remember things                     According to this book this is Myth!

I was completely misunderstood.

That is, keep learning is important.

people in the world are obese.  Many people die of diabetes and other disease that

are cased by obesity every year.

In fact, every ten seconds somewhere i n the world one person dies from diabetes.

This is a very serious health problem.

By the 18th century People it as a spice ,like cinnamon, curry, or ginger, not as a main

ingredient.

As suger became more popular, Europeans wanted to grow and sell in Europe.

As a result  many suger plantations were made  in colonies  all over the world.

SLICE BY SLICE

WHEN AND WHERE DID PIZZA START ?

It's hard to say when and where pizza started.

People  began to make bread about 30,000 years ago.

We can be sure they  put meat and other kinds of foods on it.

In this book some story and history about PIZZA is written.

MY favorite one is this: In 2001, a company delivered a pizza in space! It sent a pizza to the

International Space Station.  A spaceman  there,  Yuri Usachov, really enjoyed it!

He looks so happy.😃

Val's Diary

Dear Diary,

We arrived at Greenhill today. It's a tiny village. There isn't even a cinema or a fast food restaurant!  There are only about ten houses, a church and a kind of corner shop which sells everything under the sun: food, newspapers, clothes and even shoes. There's a kind of bar at the back where you can eat and drink. There are only about three tables.

This is first thought of her when she arrived at Greenhill.
She didn't go there.

However, a meeting changed her mind.
The meeting is with a boy Luke, he has brown hair and green eyes.

RAINFORESTS

In the last forty years, half of the world's rainforests have disappeared.

But these wild and exciting places are important to all life on Earth.

Perhaps one day you will travel to a rainforest country;but will you see the

wonderful plants and animals of the rainforests?

I was excited to read this book , because it told me that,in rain forests ,there might be a lot of

animals and plants we have't discovered yet. How excited it is!

In addition, the pictures of animals and plants in this book was interesting, some were

strange and others were so cute.

I feel sad to know these are in danger, because of human activities.

HENRY AND MUDGE and the Happy Cat

In one week the shabby cat turned into a happy cat.

It loves three things about Henry's house.

It loved the towel closet. It loved the bathtub.

And it loved Mudge.

I read HENRY AND MUDGE and Happy Cat.
One day, when Henry and Henry's father and Henry's big dog Mudge were watching TV,
 a shabbiest cat visited them.
They loved the cat,but they couldn't have pets any more.

So they started searching for the cat's new family.
Then one day a policeman visited them and he called the cat "Dave!" Yes, the cat was his cat!

These days, I'm into reading.

I recommend "もういちど生まれる”. This book is in the school library, may be

third floor.

This book is interesting, because it is written about some college students.

They are as old as us.

While I was reading this book, I felt same feeling as the characters in this book.
