Remember Miranda

「Remember Miranda」の画像検索結果
The children and their father remember Miranda, of course, and they talk about her sometimes. Miranda's sister often visit us, and she always tells the children a story about thier mother. Nick  remembers Miranda ; I know he dose. And in the hospital, Grandma remembers, too. They all remember Miranda.

Miranda died two years ago, and Cathy(main character in this book) cannot learn anything about her. Everybody remembers Milanda, but nobody wants to talk about her...

I want to recommend this book who like mystery. In this book, the truth unveils as the story goes, and you will want to read this without stopping.

a lively girl

"A little girl ?"  asked Matthew. "But I've come for a boy! The children's hime is sending us one of their orphan boys. We're going to adopt him, you see, and he's going to help me with the farm work."
"Well perhaps the children' s home didn't have any boys, so they sent you a girl ." answered the station-master carelessly. "Here she is."

Anne, the main character of this story was sent to the farm mistakenly. However she is really cheerful and talkative person, so the farmer accepted her. She was so tomboy that she was got into trouble for her action all the time.
I thought that I want a friend like Anne , because she is such  a bright person like the sun, people around her got bright too.

This time, I read a Oxford book for the first time in a long time. Recently I had chosen books of Cambridge so I tried other one.The book I read is "FIVE CHILDREN AND IT". It was pretty interesting. The IT is a sand-fairy, it can give wishes . However there is a limit and it can make one wish at each day.Children tried asking for making  wishes. Wishes went well, but they were not able to enjoy them fully.Because they got into troubled due to making wishes.

From the Heart

This story is mainly about a man who is an immigrant and a woman who is not. In this
story, immigrants were not accepted to people, because people think that immigrants take their jobs.  The woman's father is also one of  the people. Therefore he strongly against to their relationship. However they overcame obstacles which they faced and got married.

This book treated a kind of discrimination, and I felt the difference of country and  skin color is not so much important.

The monkey's paw

Monkey's paw can make a wish three times
 instead of something important .

I think this is really sad story. Figuratively speaking, this story's color is black. I mean there is no hope in it. If you wish a lot of money, you can get truly, but the way is horrible. A couple of this book actually wished so and got a lot of money instead of thier son, they lost thier only son by an accident. This did never bring happiness to the couple. I don't hope to get a monkey's paw.

The phantom of the Opera

This story is really famous, so I wanted to read this for a lomg time. The main character of this story is a man who has a really ugly face. However, actually he is a really kind person, I think. He hesitated to show up in front of people, because of his face. This story was interesting, so I want to watch this play or DVD. If you like mystery or love story, you will like this story.

play

My favorite scene is that the man told a girl(he loved her) to be free and happy.
